FT Island members Choi Jonghoon, Lee Jaejin and Choi Minhwan give their support to fellow member Lee Hongki, who is making a drama comeback.
In the drama “You’re Beautiful“, Lee Hongki plays the role of a British-Korean as well as a member of the idol band A.N.JELL.
Lee Hongki is returning to the drama scene after a period of 5 years. He was previously casted in KBS 2TV children drama “Magic Kid Masuri” in 2002, followed by EBS drama “There’s Light Left At The Tip Of My Fingernails” in 2004 and “Kkangsooni” in 2005.
In a recent interview with Newsen, FT Island members Choi Jonghoon, Lee Jaejin and Choi Minhwan said that, “Lady Luck is shining on Lee Hongki now. Though he’s busy, he sleeps and plays a lot. We hope that this drama will be a success for him. We watched the trailer earlier. Though some actions are really childish, the drama seems interesting.”
At the drama press conference held earlier, Lee Hongki also revealed that, “FT Island members are giving me lots of support. Whenever I have late night filmings, Minhwan will always send messages like ‘Work hard, hyung’ and ‘I love you’.”
On the other hand, FT Triple, consisting of members Choi Jonghoon, Lee Jaejin and Choi Minhwan, will release an album in October. They revealed that, “A limited edition of FT Island’s repackage album will also be released at the same time, under a 1+1 promotion. We had a hard time thinking of our group name. We wanted to use A3 initially because all 3 of us have bloodtype A, however, we’ve decided to use FT Triple instead because we want to retain the name “FT“.
