[Information] FT Island’s New Japanese Single
The release date and title for the new Japanese single is out:
Title: Raining
Release date: October 21st, 2009
No information on tracks yet, but it’s a maxi so we should probably be able to expect at least three.
Also, an approximate translation of the information gleaned from various sites includes:
“FT Island member Jaejin has been studying Japanese very hard, and helped with the lyric composition on one of the songs”
and
“This single will show a more adult image of FT Island”

Both FT Island members, Lee Hongki and Choi Jonghoon, chose After School member, Juyeon, as their ideal girl.
FT Island members revealed who their ideal girls are at the VIP interview on cable channel KBS JOY “EnterNews“, which was broadcasted in the afternoon on 21st.
The team’s youngest member Choi Minhwan revealed that, “2NE1’s Sandara Park caught my attention recently. Though we haven’t spoke to each other before, I like her. If there’s time, I would like to, probably, have tea with her,” and received applause from the members.
Following that, Lee Hongki revealed that, “I like After School’s Juyeon-noona”, and upon hearing this, Choi Jonghoon also confessed that, “I like Juyeon-noona too”, creating rivalry between the members. Especially that Juyeon is 23, Lee Hongki and Choi Jonghoon are both 20, this is gaining lots of attention as it’s only a difference of 3 years in their age.
On the other hand, FT Island had released their 3rd regular album “Cross & Change” last month, with title song “Barae” having high rankings in various music charts. They are also active in their album promotional activities.

FT Island reveals a new image in the September issue of fashion magazine “Marie Claire“.
Although the magazine photoshoot took place in the wee hours at 3am, FT Island members still seemed very energised and also livened the atmosphere in the studio.
Just like any other idol groups, the members played games with the photographer during breaks and when it was back to work, their became serious again. The members showed great professionalism as they hid their tired expressions by singing along to their songs that was played in the background.
Each of the members portray a carefree image and not the typical dollish ones that is common in this big entertainment industry. Far from what was being said about them being arrogant due to their early fame and love they received, the members seem to be becoming more matured as what we can see from their straightforward and carefree images.
Besides pictorials, September issue of “Marie Claire” will also feature their individual interviews.

[NEWS]"Lee Jaejin Talks The Most About Girl Groups, 090820 FT Island’s Choi Jonghoon

embers of FT Island disclosed secrets about one another.
In a recent recording for KBS 2TV “Star Golden Bell“, it was revealed that members, Choi Minhwan and Lee Jaejin, were the most different on and off stage.
When asked by MC Kim Jedong, “Which member is the most different on and off stage,” Choi Jonghoon revealed, “Choi Minhwan and Lee Jaejin are both shy but they talked the most about girl groups off stage.”
Lee Jaejin also confessed by saying, “It’s true,” and added, “Choi Jonghoon always hang around the corridor outside the waiting rooms and doesn’t come in because he wants to look at the girl groups.”
On the question, “Which member does the most dirty acts,” Choi Jonghoon revealed that, “Lee Hongki always breaks wind in front of our faces,” and everyone burst into laughter.
“Star Golden Bell” will broadcast on 22nd August (pm).

[INFO] SHINee & FT Island Monkey Around
SHINee and F.T Island are joining forces but not to create a special stage. Rather, they’re both guests on MBC’s Flower Boys Generation. Some of the SHINee boys have hosted the show with Park Myung Soo and Hyun Dong previously.
Although the two bands aren’t collaborating, from the preview you get to see the boys go wild with each other. If the playful side of the boys and Minhwan’s sole presence isn’t enough to draw your attention, the preview also reveals the boys doing their take on Brown Eyed Girls’ Abracadabra dance and monkey interpretations.
We know SHINee is known for their dancing but it’s intriguing to see the boys of F.T Island, a rock band, shake their hips. This episode is set to air on August 25th.

Did you know that F.T Island’s Lee Hong-ki was a childhood actor? Well, he was.
Lee Hong-ki will be making his return to the small screen after his five year hiatus through the upcoming SBS drama, ‘You Are So Handsome’. Lee Hong-ki was originally supposed to star in the SBS drama, ‘God of Studying’ during the latter half of 2008 but production of the drama has been entirely cancelled.
‘You Are So Handsome’, is a story about a four member Idol group and their growth, love life and hardships. Alongside Lee Hong-ki, Jang Geun-suk and Park Shin-hye have also been cast as a member of the Idol group. What’s interesting is, Park Shin-hye, will have two roles in the drama because she plays the part of a girl who disguises herself as a boy to be in the Idol group.
Lee Hong-ki has been cast for the role of Kang O-nyu, the pretty boy idol group member who doesn’t really care much for anything or anyone around him. As to why Lee Hong-ki was cast for the role, a representative of the drama stated,
Lee Hong-ki has been cast in the drama ‘You Are So Handsome’. Since the story is about an Idol group, while we were in the process of looking for an actual Idol group member to star in the drama we felt that Lee Hong-ki was a good candidate for the character and decided that he actually suited the character quite well.
‘You Are So Handsome’ is scheduled to air on October 7th, following the currently broadcasting drama, ‘Swallow the Sun’.

[News] 090818 Lee Hongki Replaces Kim Shinyoung As A One-Day Radio DJ
FT Island’s Lee Hongki becomes a radio Dj.
Lee Hongki, who is currently doing promotions for the song “Barae“, will replace gag woman Kim Shinyoung, as a one-day radio DJ on MBC radio “ShimShimTaPa“’s Wednesday corner “Now it’s the live generation” on 19th August.
Many commented favourably on Lee Hongki’s interesting talks on radio shows as well as variety programmes. Spokesperson from MBC “ShimShimTapa” said that, “The listener ratings were high and response was very good the previous time FT Island appeared on the show. We’re having high expectations this time as well.”
Being a DJ and not as a guest for the first time, Lee Hongki expressed that, “Although it’s only for a day, I’m feeling nervous and stressed. However, with the help of Shindong-sunbae, I’ll work hard to do an interesting show. I hope many people will listen to the radio programme.”
