We have been hit with a wave of Korean stars in the finest hanbok sending their greetings for the national holiday, Chuseok. Now it’s boy band F.T.Island’s turn. Sadly, Hongki and Song Seung Hyun are missing due to their schedules but we still got 3 of the cuties to pose for the pictures.
These three, Choi Jong Hoon, Choi Min Hwan, and Lee Jae Jin are also making a sub group called F.T.Triple. This group’s album will come out with F.T.Island’s repackaged album. They almost named themselves A3 because they all are blood A type but they went with the other option. They wanted to keep the F.T. name so they added Triple at the end of it to represent that it is a trio. Sound familiar? SS501’s sub group was called Triple S.
These three boys like all the other stars stated that it’s been a long time since they wore hanbok. Their usual costume consists of skinny jeans and stylish shirts on stage so no wonder the Korean traditional attire was absent from their lives. Lee Jae Jin said, “Now that I’m wearing hanbok, I feel really great. The past 6 years, I never got to really celebrate Chuseok because of concert preparations. Sadly, once again, I will have to give up going to see my family for Chuseok because of concert preparations.”
He continued and said, “I want to go to the countryside and relax with the fresh air. I also want to visit my grandfather’s grave. I feel responsible to visit his grave as the eldest son so I feel bad not going to see my family. I would always go to public bathhouses with my dad and though it was awkward, I think about spending time with him.”
Choi Min Hwan added, “I have a huge family. Since I haven’t gone to my hometown for 6 years, when they come to my concerts, I can not even recognize them. I used to play so many games with my family members on Chuseok expecially Yut-Game (traditional Korean game).”
Lastly, Choi Jong Hoon said, “When Chuseok comes around, I go to the movies, eat, and spend quality time with my members. Since I can’t visit my family, they come to me at my dorm to bring me food. With that food, we throw a party ourselves. I don’t have a specific Chuseok memory so the Chuseoks I have spent with my members are memorable.”
The members also made fun of their family by mentioning that when their families come to their dorm, they talk to so loud that the members have to tell their elders to quiet down.
To finish it off, they sent their greetings to fans. They said, “Eat a lot this Chuseok and don’t get sick. Don’t wait for us in front of our practice room, instead, spend time with your family. If you can, wear hanbok!”
Very sad to know it’s hard to see their family on Chuseok since many other stars are getting a short break and spending some time in their hometown.
