Ah, it’s Music Bank’s interview questions which I’m preparing.

‘같이 휴가 가고 싶은 가수’란에 소녀시대를 썼네요. 소녀시대, 좋아해요?
‘One singer you would like to go with on vacation’ – looks like you wrote down SNSD. SNSD, do you like them?
뭐, 아는 누나들도 있고. 사실 그다지 쓸 사람이 없어서.
What, there are some noonas that I know. Honestly, there’s not really anyone else that I can use much.

처음에는 어떻게 팀에 합류하게 됐어요?
At first, how did you end up joining the team?
중학교에서 스쿨 밴드를 하고 있었거든요. 거기서 베이스를 쳤고, 음악 듣는 것도 좋아해서. 그 때 밴드 오디션이 있어서 보게 됐어요.
In middle school, I was in the school band. In there, I played the bass, and I also liked listening to music. At that time, there was the audition for the band, and I made it.

그렇게 어렸을 때 한 결정에 확신이 있었다니 신기하네요.
It’s interesting how you decided so promptly whether or not to join when you were that young.
사 실 그 당시에는 이게 내 길이라는 생각은 못했죠. 악기를 배우는 것도 재밌고 여자 친구들한테 인기도 얻어 보고 싶어서 뭣도 모르고 시작한 거죠. 근데 친구들이 보컬이나 기타 같은 멋있는 건 다 빼앗아 간 거에요. 그래서 다짜고짜 베이스를 샀는데, 하면 할수록 잘 하고 싶다는 생각이 들더라고요. 어렸을 때부터 가수를 너무 원해서 하는 친구들도 있겠지만, 저희는 데뷔를 갈구 하지는 않았어요. 그냥 악기 배우는 것이 즐거우니까 각자 연습은 연습 대로 하고 있었는데 어느 날 갑자기 데뷔가 결정된 거에요.
Honestly, during those times I couldn’t think if this would’ve been my path in life. It was fun learning how to play my instrument, and I wanted more popularity with my girl friends so I didn’t even know what I was doing and just started. But my friends were either the really cool and impressive vocals or guitar, so they took my spot. That’s why I bought a willy-nilly (o_o?) bass, but I had the urge to play it well and get better. Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be an artist so bad, and there were friends that played with me, but I didn’t yearn to debut. Just the fact that I could learn an instrument made me happy, and we would practice individually. However, all of a sudden one day it was decided that we would debut.
