With the recent release of their 3rd album and promotions for title song “Barae“, FT Island’s Lee Hongki takes on new challenges in a musical.

Starting 26th August, at Kyung Hee University’s Sanctuary of Peace, Lee Hongki will meet his audience at the musical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream“. Lee Hongki has been working very hard to prepare for this musical and to do their album promotional activities at the same time.

Lee Hongki is casted as Lysander, the male lead in the musical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream“. Lysander is an honest young man who is in love with Hermia, the female lead.

Lee Hongki, who has captured women’s hearts with his strong vocals and outstanding appearance, will show a different image in this musical.

Majoring in Theatre & Film, Lee Hongki has made many appearances in variety shows and drama cameos. However, this will be his first time displaying his acting skills in front of the audience.

“We are busy with album promotions everyday. Nevertheless, I would spend at least 5 hours during midnight to practise at the studio. Through this musical, I will be showcasing my hidden acting and dancing skills,” Lee Hongki showed his strong determination.

Spokesperson of the production also revealed that, “The character in the musical matches well with Lee Hongki’s usual image. He will be able to fully immerse himself in the character and express his emotions well.”
